A rain-swollen Surunga Stream has caused inundation along a stretch from Tulasibari Chok in Kankai municipality-5 to Chapramari in Jhapa district. The stream has inundated one-kilometre-long stretch along Amarpath, a road which connects Suranga with Digalbank. The flooded stream has swept away part of the road and brought vehicular movement to a halt.
