Youths missing in Fewa Lake still unknown
The whereabouts of the two youths missing in Fewa Lake since Monday afternoon is still unknown. The search for them was underway till this evening. Police Inspector at Baidam Police Post, Mohanmani Adhikari said that the search for the missing youths was underway. He said, “We are still searching the youths since yesterday evening but, their whereabouts is still unknown. The search is on.” The boat overturned in the middle of the lake when eight passengers were on board. Six other passengers were safely rescued by the bowman and police. Pratik Shrestha, 19, of Chakrapath and Alan K.C, 23, of Basundhara are still missing in the lake. Search has been affected in lack of recourses, said Adhikari.

Gaurika Singh from Nepal will go down as the youngest athlete of the 2016 Rio Olympics at 13 years and 255 days, but her place in history could have been vastly different.Earthquake survivor Gaurika Singh, who swim for her country at 13 years and 255 days old. Singh is also a survivor of a devastating earthquake that rocked Nepal in 2015.

Likewise, President Bhandari administered the oath of office and secrecy to the Deputy Prime Ministers Bimalendra Nidhi and Krishna Bahadur Mahara on the occasion. The President also administered the oath of office and secrecy of the post of Government Minister to Ramesh Lekhak, Gauri Shankar Chaudhary and Daljeet Shreepali. Present at the function were Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun, the outgoing Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, Chief Justice Sushila Karki, Speaker Onsari Gharti, the former Vice President, the former Prime Ministers and Deputy Prime Ministers, former Ministers, Heads of Constitutional Bodies, Chiefs of the security bodies, government high-ranking officials, heads and representatives of the diplomatic missions, leaders of different political parties, journalists, industrialists and businessmen among others. Following the swearing-in ceremony, President Bhandari hosted high-tea in honour of Prime Minister Dahal at the Sheetal Niwas premises. Dahal, who is also the Chairman of the CPN (Maoist Centre), was elected to the post of Prime Minister in an election held in the Legislature-P .

Supreme Court of Nepal to end the Gadhi Mai sacrifices
Under pressure of a Supreme Court of Nepal injunction won on November 24, 2014 by the Nepal Animal Welfare & Research Center, “We have decided to completely stop the practice of animal sacrifice,” Gadhi Mai Temple Trust secretary Motilal Prasad on July 28, 2015 told the Himalayan Times. The announcement apparently means the end of mass sacrifices held every five years at Bariyarpur, in western Nepal near the Indian border, which have become increasingly controversial since first emerging into media view in 1999.

Over 22 People Missing In Bridge Collapse
In a major bridge collapse over the Savitri river at Mahad on the Mumbai - Goa highway where 2 buses have been reportedly washed away with 22 people on board. The NDRF teams from Pune have been deployed at the site, however the incessant rains and water has obstructed the rescue operations.The primary reason for the collapse seems to be the high pressure due to the flooding of Savitri river.

Documentary : Pushpa Kamal Dahal
Pushpa Kamal Dahal also known as Prachanda, is a Nepali politician and chairman of the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist-Centre) [CPN(M-C)]. He led a guerrilla war against the government and later served as Prime Minister of Nepal from 2008 to 2009. Dahal led the CPN (M) as it launched a communist insurgency on 13 February 1996. In the ensuing civil war, more than 17,000 Nepalese died. Ultimately elections were held in 2008 and the CPN (M) emerged as the strongest party. The Constituent Assembly of Nepal elected Dahal as Prime Minister in August 2008. He resigned as Prime Minister on 4 May 2009 after his attempt to sack the army chief, General Rookmangud Katawal, was opposed by President Ram Baran Yadav.

CPN (MC) Chairman Dahal files his nomination for PM election
CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Puspa Kamal Dahal has filed his candidacy for the election of the post of Prime Minister at the Legislature-Parliament in New Baneshwar on Tuesday. 9 killed, 31 injured in Nawalparasi Bus accident
Two Nepalis were injured in a clash that erupted between youths from Nepal and India at the no-man’s land following a debate over construction of a dam by Indian authorities. Dev Narayan Yadav of Tilathi-4 and Roshan Jha of Tilathi-6 were injured after receiving stones hurled by the Indians. Among the injured, the condition of Yadav is said to be serious. It is learnt that Indian locals targeted Yadav as he had been protesting the dam constructed illegally by the Southern neighbor. The clash was ensued after local youths demolished a dam that was being constructed by India at the no-man’s land breaching international norms. Nepali youths damaged some 80 percent of the dam constructed by India.@myrepublica

Deadly floods and landslides hit Jhapa
A rain-swollen Surunga Stream has caused inundation along a stretch from Tulasibari Chok in Kankai municipality-5 to Chapramari in Jhapa district. The stream has inundated one-kilometre-long stretch along Amarpath, a road which connects Suranga with Digalbank. The flooded stream has swept away part of the road and brought vehicular movement to a halt.
